Unlock the full potential of Wavestore v6.42—view our launch presentation today and explore the latest innovations in video management.
On June 26, 2025, Wavestore opened the doors of its Ottawa headquarters for Blind Spot 2025, welcoming integrators, consultants and end-users for a full day of hands-on demos, deep-dive sessions and networking. From live product showcases to forward-thinking panels on what's next for security, the energy in the room proved one thing: organizations everywhere are hungry for truly unified, intelligent security management.
At the heart of Wavestore’s platform is the Large Allocation Storage System (LASS), which indexes every frame of video -across petabytes of data - in real time. Attendees saw first-hand how LASS enables ultra-fast “smart searches,” letting operators filter by metadata, motion or custom triggers & events and retrieve clips in fractions of a second. This robustness ensures no critical moment ever slips through the cracks.
Security isn’t an afterthought - it’s built in. Wavestore’s, Linux-based end-to-end 4096-bit encryption safeguards video streams, metadata and user credentials. From edge-to-cloud, every byte remains securely locked down, giving enterprises peace of mind that their most sensitive footage stays protected at every stage of transmission and storage.
HotSpots enables operators to track moving subjects across multiple camera feeds, both live and in playback. This real-time cross-camera tracking makes it easy to follow persons of interest through complex environments - ideal for large-scale sites like airports, stadiums or corporate campuses.
Attendees configured custom “if-this-then-that” rules in seconds that automated actions based on triggers detected from video. Additionally, visitors saw facial recognition and video analytics such as 'Hands up' detection in real-time, triggering on-screen actions that enhance situational awareness, ensuring operators focus on the events that matter.
A special thank you goes out to our event partners whose support made Blind Spot 2025 possible, including Salto, BCD, Phil Coppola and Jeremy Fromm representing HID and Mercury, Raf Souccar and Tom Comerford. Their contributions were appreciated by the audience and Wavestore team.
Wavestore is proud to announce an upcoming unified security platform. In it's first phase this will be a seamless cloud-based access control solution designed for maximum speed, efficiency and reliability. Over the next three months, we’ll continue onboarding beta sites around the globe to refine real-world performance and gather user feedback.
Industry experts, consultants, integrators and end-users tried and tested the access product throughout the Blind Spot event, providing unanimous positive feedback:
“I’ve seen a lot of products that use Mercury, but your UI is beautiful,” said Jeremy Fromm, Security Evangelist at Mercury.
Beyond the near-term beta, our roadmap envisions bringing the full power of Wavestore’s video management into the new unified security platform. Imagine a single pane of glass where footage, access events and analytics converge - simplifying operations, accelerating investigations and providing data to unlock new insights.
“By unifying cloud access control with our founding video capabilities, we’re setting a new standard for security solutions,” said Sam Shalaby, CEO of Wavestore. “Our customers will gain unparalleled usability, visibility, scalability and operational efficiency as we deliver a truly integrated platform.”
