‘Seeing is believing’ is a much used phrase, but it certainly applies to many of the innovative features incorporated in V5, the latest version of Wavestore’s video management software. With this in mind we have been taking the opportunity to demonstrate V5 at a number of exhibitions, seminars and road shows.
Wavestore participated in the Global MSC Security Seminar and Exhibition which was organised in conjunction with Safe Newcastle and which took place on 8th November 2011. We are pleased to report that there was considerable interest shown in V5 from the large number of CCTV, facility and security managers who were at the well attended event.
In September we exhibited at the PPMA 2011, the UK’s leading processing and packaging machinery exhibition. We demonstrated how Wavestore can record high resolution images from specialist high speed CCTV cameras that can capture images at 100 frames per second for process control purposes. The cameras can also be used to monitor running machinery in order to identify if necessary what may have caused it to fail.
We exhibited in November at a retail show in London where we were able to show visitors how we can help embattled retailers as a result of the integration of different types of video analytics with Wavestore’s V5 software. The detection of abandoned objects, facial recognition, people counting, queue management, and an advanced method of license plate recognition, are just some of the powerful analytical tools that Wavestore can support.
We also participated at Intersec 2012 which took place 15-17th January, 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
2012 and beyond
Wavestore will continue to seek opportunities to demonstrate the almost endless list of innovative new features during 2012 which our brilliant team of design engineers have incorporated into V5. We will of course be on show at IFSEC 2012 which will take place on 14-17th May at the NEC, Birmingham, but watch this space for details of other events where Wavestore will be exhibiting during 2012 or you can register your interest by emailing: info@wavestore.com
