Internet Protocol (IP) security CCTV cameras have been hailed as superior when compared with analogue.

Boosh News suggests that IP units have a number of better features and are more suitable for people who are looking to install a home security system.

It suggests that while all the extra IP bonuses do come at an increased cost, the benefits brought from this initial outlay actually make the cameras value for money over time.

The news provider states: "IP cameras are recommended over the analogue cams simply because it has many more features.

"IP cameras also allow remote access, so you can view the camera over the internet. Although IP cams are more expensive, overall IP based systems are more cost effective."

It goes on to say that once a buyer has identified the appropriate camera they should ensure they purchase software that best fits and a monitor and storage system that is appropriate.
