Education

Security in the education sector is required to protect the premises, staff and students, and be a deterrent for bad behaviour and criminal damage. it also exists for safety assurance; providing the ability to monitor an unsupervised facility from a remote location.

Many schools are now installing surveillance products to prevent malicious attacks against the property, staff and students and to provide evidence of incidents whether in the classroom, corridors or the grounds and surrounding areas.

Wavestore systems will accommodate exactly this – and more. Our flexible solutions can be moulded to your specific requirements and will interface seamlessly with virtually all existing hardware.

Linked with alarms and access control systems, Wavestore video recorders can be networked to monitor many locations and provide instantaneous notice of an adverse event.

Systems allow users to view, record and playback images from any camera across the entire network, offering a complete and economical solution to schools, universities and other higher education institutions.

Whilst the Wavestore server (the recorder) is maintained on a Linux platform, the remote client software can be installed on a standard Windows or Ubuntu platform.

(The benefit of the Wavestore system for the education sector, is that the Ubuntu option can be operated on the existing PC network where the Microsoft platform is not the preferred option).
