Open Platform CCTV Systems
Wavestore is an ONVIF member and has a well developed Open Platform strategy to ensure that our CCTV systems comply with the aim of global standards. We continue to work actively with a wide range of security manufacturers to ensure that legacy systems are also maintained through the transition to full IP interoperability. Wavestore has integrated with an extensive range of CCTV cameras, access control, video analytics, alarm management and surveillance systems to enable CCTV consultants and systems integrators to provide the best of breed solutions to their customers.
Scalable CCTV Systems
We recognise that not all CCTV systems requirements are the same and so we ensure that the Wavestore implementation is configurable and flexible, not only to interface to CCTV cameras and surveillance technologies specified, but also to be scalable and upgradable through a series of modular software and hardware options that are individually priced. Based on a Linux design, the Wavestore video management software (VMS) system can be upgraded either locally or remotely and without the recording system being shut down, so that system enhancements can be installed during normal operational hours.
Centralised or Distributed CCTV Systems
Wavestore is designed to enable robust and reliable server groups to be created regardless of whether a centralised or distributed solution is specified. Our designs are flexible to harmonise with the consultant's specifications and the Wavestore range of hardware and software options ensures that flexible and scalable CCTV Systems are achieved and maintained. Based on a vast amount of in-field data amassed over many years of operation, we are able to give you the benefit of our experiences and provide you with reference sites accordingly.
DVR, NVR and Hybrid Recorders
The Wavestore design evolved from its original DVR design with an IP backbone into a fully IP based NVR solution which is able to deliver very high performance recording of network (IP and megapixel) camera images at breath taking speeds. These designs are able to record and display multiple megapixel cameras simultaneously with minimal video lag and enable the CCTV systems operators to scan and display images in very large archive data storages systems dynamically.
Where our hybrid video server recorders are installed to record both analogue and network cameras simultaneously, the performance is no less impressive. Wavestore CCTV systems are able to record and display analogue camera images using Wavelet, MJPEG and H.264 compression technologies, and record and display IP and megapixel cameras in MJPEG, MxPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 formats.
CCTV Systems benefits to the Operator
The Wavestore interface has been widely acclaimed for how easy it is to install and operate. This critical element is maintained in our latest designs, where additional user friendly functions have been provided. Where standard CCTV systems deliver the ability to display either 1, 4, 9, 13 or 16 images in a single display, we recognised with there is a need to provide extra flexibility where the user can freely decide the size, location and aspect ratio of any number of camera images on the display. While certain cameras images can be maintained and viewed in live mode, any number of other cameras can be selected to access and view the archive video images. In addition the design permits the user to display more than one image of the same camera, so enabling them to view both current/live and archive/replay of the same camera or cameras. Specific video clips from one or more cameras can be instantly backed up to CD, DVD, system or USB, simply by selecting the start and finish of the data, selecting the required video format and completing the backup process.
CCTV Systems benefits to the installers and systems integrators
Wavestore CCTV systems are designed to operate reliably for many years. Service personnel or the technical support team at Wavestore can however remotely and securely log in to the system to analyse what may be occurring should the embedded Wavestore comprehensive enterprise monitoring system indicate an impending failure. This remote diagnostics capability not only provides a rapid response capability but also saves on the cost of system engineer callouts.
