- 11 Megapixel Lumenera Camera Recorder
| 06/11/2007
The Wavestore Opal NVR has been successfully trialled with Lumenera’s Le11059; an 11 Megapixel CCTV camera that is designed for higher-end security applications, particularly in critical surveillance applications where intimate scene detail is required.
The Opal NVR is a compact video recorder that has sufficient hard drive storage to record continuously from the Le11059 for up to 10 days at the rate of 4 images per second. For systems with more than a single Le11059 camera or systems with a combination of analogue, megapixel and IP cameras one of the other Wavestore solutions with increased storage should be considered.
The Le11059 series is designed to provide the resolution of 30+ NTSC cameras. Streaming full 4008x2672 resolution images at 5 fps, these cameras deliver outstanding picture quality and performance.
Adjustable JPEG and MJPEG compressed still-images or streaming video can be delivered across a standard 10/100BaseT or gigabit network interface.

- Farsi Language Added to Wavestore
| 06/11/2007
The Farsi or Persian Language is the latest language to be added to the Wavestore products. Farsi is the most widely spoken member of the Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian languages and spoken today by over 40 million people, primarily in Iran and Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf countries.
The Wavestore software is also available in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hungarian, Russian, Turkish and Japanese. Additional language translations can be prepared and installed as required. Where appropriate, the logo of the system integrator or a client can be installed onto the screen displays.
Claimed to provide the fastest access times to view recorded data, Wavestore users can rapidly go back into vast archives by simple time and date entry or by dragging the unique ‘waterfall’ recordings display for any camera. Snapshots can be exported into JPEG, PNG or BMP format or printed out directly onto a printer. Selected video clips from multiple cameras can be copied onto CD-R or DVD-R for playback and review on a PC.
Multiple Wavestore “servers” can be networked over LAN or WAN, to be monitored either locally or remotely using the powerful client software that is provided.

- Compact Video Recorder Introduced
| 06/11/2007
The LITTLE GEM range is a compact and versatile real-time or time-lapse digital video and audio recording solution that is configurable to record up to eight analogue cameras at 100 ips global, or a combination of analogue, megapixel and IP cameras simultaneously in a single recorder.
The embedded Linux design is capable of recording eight analogue cameras at 1 image per second continuously, for a period of 3 days, or significantly longer and with higher image rates, if the motion detection feature is enabled. (Up to two 120 GB hard disc drives can be supported to double this recording capability).
Wavestore provides an easy and intuitive interface that enables users with little experience of recording equipment to be able to view images and copy selected video data to a Mass Storage Devices.
LITTLE GEM supports PAL (or NTSC) and Motion JPEG data formats, enabling combinations of standard, infra-red or other specialist cameras, to be recorded with date and time embedded.
A physically smaller IP only version is available; which does not require the video compression hardware, supporting applications that require a powerful yet small, lightweight and unobtrusive recording capability.
The Little Gem operates from a single 5volt supply rated at 14 Watts, while the IP only design requires 8 Watts. The video capture card and processor assembly measures 50 x 120 x 180 mm.
LITTLE GEM is ideal for emergency service applications, public service vehicles or for covert deployment and temporary surveillance situations such as sporting events, public assemblies and accident or crime sites.

- Terrorist Attack on London Transport
| 15/08/2007
Following the terrorist attacks in London on July 7th, Alstom Transport, (the management company responsible for the supply and maintenance of trains on the Northern Line), requested the urgent supply of CCTV review workstations, to copy and analyse recordings acquired from the Falcon Protec on train digital recorders.
The requirement to translate a feasibility study into deliverable product became the priority for the company’s hardware & software teams.
The first workstation was deployed on July 21st; in response to the second series of attacks, and images of the alleged attempted bomber recorded on the train at the Oval station, were downloaded and broadcast in newspapers and on television.
The images were subsequently used in court as evidence that resulted in his conviction.

- Live CCTV Images on a Mobile Phone
| 21/05/2007
Wavelet Technology and QeepsTM have agreed to cooperate to enable the delivery of live CCTV images from Wavestore recorders direct to the mobile phone of authorised personnel.
QeepsTM is a revolutionary new security system that brings peace of mind by delivering live CCTV images direct to a mobile phone. The system is bi-directional enabling the user to view any camera on the network to which they are authorised, and if an event occurs the phone alerts the user and displays images from the cameras associated with the specific alarm.
QeepsTM is a software solution that interacts with your CCTV Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and using QeepsTM, the functionality you experience on your DVR can be accessed via your mobile phone.*
QeepsTM uses the world leading mobile technology of Vemotion Interactive Limited (www.vemotion.com) to allow you to connect to your system and have the images streamed live to your mobile phone from anywhere in the world on a GPRS connection.
Vemotion’s leading edge technology compresses the video to a fraction of its original size, allowing it to be streamed to your phone using the very limited bandwidth that the phone is capable of receiving.
Your DVR offers rich support for home automation products, and Vemotions interactive technology allows you to interact with your DVR, at the same time as streaming high quality video!
Your DVR reports events to the QeepsTM main processing centre, where a sophisticated system determines how to let you know - according to your preferences. If you are unable to respond to a notification then QeepsTM can move onto the next configured notification mechanism.
Furthermore, QeepsTM central monitoring system continuously keeps in touch with your system, to monitor and advise if it becomes unavailable for any reason. |
