Arecont is a well established megapixel camera manufacturer whose products range from 1.3 to 5 megapixels. Arecont cameras support the simultaneous streaming of MJPEG and H.264 files, where the H.264 implementation offers FASTER, CLEARER, MORE EFFICIENT, MEGAPIXEL IMAGING. This is the industry's first full line of H.264 megapixel IP cameras, which maintain real-time video frame rates and offer up to 10x greater compression efficiency compared to MJPEG. Multi-streaming of up to 8 non-identical concurrent streams are supported. Wavestore is an Arecont development partner.

FAQs
Q: How are analogue and IP camera images recorded in the same video recorder?
A:
The recorder uses a video compression card for the analogue video signals (connected via individual coaxial cables). This card digitises the camera images, which are then stored on the hard drives.
IP and megapixel camera images are transmitted over the Ethernet network and simultaneously recorded directly to the hard drive (Multiple cameras using different compression formats can be recorded concurrently).
