Business Development Manager - UK

Travel: Extensive, predominantly South UK

Place of work: Home based

Understanding the overall vision and goals of Wavestore, you are fully accountable for achieving your revenue and GM targets for the South of the UK and be confident with formulating and executing sales plans that deliver successful results. You will be comfortable with driving business yourself with support from the office-based team, which includes pre-sales and technical support departments, and building a sufficient pipeline of accurately forecast business to achieve agreed revenue targets.

Wavestore currently has an existing customer base in the territory and several key accounts delivering consistent revenue but an important part of this role is to grow those accounts, which have greater potential than current levels of sales, and identify relevant new projects and customers to add to the project pipeline to achieve our overall growth plans. This will be achieved through getting Wavestore specified in to a larger number of projects via Consultants and End-Users, alongside development of Wavestore’s Partner Programme targeted at Systems Integrators.

The Wavestore solution has key commercial and technology differentiators, offering tangible and realisable benefits that need to be effectively communicated to all key stakeholders surrounding a project so the ability to identify, inform and influence those key people is extremely important. You will clearly understand the local market structure and identify effective ways to win new projects for Wavestore, working with the wider team to ensure win themes are full understood and met with our proposals and demonstrations.

You will be responsible for a wide mix of project sizes into various markets. Projects can often be complex with many stakeholders, so you will need therefore to be comfortable with making sense out of a dynamic and constantly changing environment, ensuring that robust product qualification is carried out and the win themes for all projects in the region are well understood and supported by your colleagues across the company to successful completion.

You will be able to plan activity to meet key objectives, such as achieving target, and analyse information available to deliver confidence that your objectives will be met.
